ERPsimLab is an academic laboratory that develops curricula on management information systems and data analysis, by repurposing business software into learning platforms.
Their main product is the ERPsim, a business simulation game for SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA in which participants use a real ERP system to manage their virtual company in a simulated market. It is currently being used in 170 universities around the world at courses in Bacherlors, Masters and MBA levels.
The simulations are set up and controlled from through the ERPsim Simulation Administration Console , a web application that serves as an interface between the SAP system, the Simulation Event Generator, and the end users (Professors and Students).
This project was focused on improving the the experience of using that web application, by pusuing the following objectives:
- Simplifying first time usage (ease of learning)
- Making the game debriefing data more revelant and focused
- Updating visual components to current standards of the web
- Preparing the interface for incremental development
- Adapting the content to multiple screen sizes (tablet, mobile, desktop)
An new web application, developped in using the React.JS framework. Released in June 2021.
